Both "Web Forums" and "IRC Chat" on the main menu of lojban.org link to web
interfaces that you can use, one of which is freenodes own web interface. If you
keep a bookmark of this around, you can pop in whenever you like :)

PS: i do realize, that the info being on the lojban wiki is not helpful during a
complete failure of lojban.org, but the english wikipedia article also says
where one can find the channel, so enh.
