Is any human language *ever* completed? There are lots of concepts for which
we don't have words yet, and sometimes the discussion of what to call them
produces no conclusion. Here's one: a week or two ago, on the way to church,
I saw a sun dog and explained to the guy I was riding with how a "parhelio"
happens; he had apparently never heard this word before. (Neither had I, at
least in Spanish. I've read about them in English.) I don't know what to call
them in Lojban. Not "solge'u"; that is malgli (or malbro - they're
called "kalbey hashemesh"), as it is not any kind of mammal, does not bark,
is not carnivorous, etc.
If you'd like to contribute words to Lojban, please sign up on the jbovlaste
website. You'll also be added to the jbovlaste mailing list, which is where
discussions of new words happen.
