I had been about to say the similar le mi crane cu berti me.Both of these assume that by "facing" you mean "fronting". My body could be "facing" north, but if I am looking to my left, my face/gaze etc is pointing west. Perhaps the typical English idiomatic wording is what made it hard to find a Lojban expression.
