It looks like you're using the old interpretation of ZAhO, namely

    days is using another interpretation, namely {broda za'o lo nu brode}
-> {za'o broda ca lo nu brode}, which has the advantage of not
implicitly modifying the contents of the tagged sumti (which no other

Alright, then, if that's "Event X begins during the time of Event Y",
then how does IRC say "Event X happens at the beginning of Event Y"?

"broda ca lo nu co'a brode"

Your haiku translates to:

"Starting in spring
flower buds will blossom,
and so comes beauty.

Your haiku means the same as:

ca lo vensa ku
lo xrula co'a banro
ja'e lo nunmle

In spring
flowers begin to grow
and so comes beauty.

(I had to change "cifxrula" to "xrula" to keep the syllable count right)

Which is not bad either, but if you want "when spring begins", you need a combination of "co'a" and "ca", either as "ca lo nu co'a vensa cu broda" or as "ca lo vensa cu co'a broda". Of course this ruins your haiku's syllable count.

ca lo nu co'a vensa
cu banro fa lo xrula
ja'e lo nunmle

Here's a possible fix, though it's already quite different from the original, plus I really don't like the -cfa-:

lo nunvesycfa
cu jai co'a rulba'o
ja'e lo nunmle

mu'o mi'e la selpa'i
