i have tried to avoide this argument because i am quite biased.. but i agree completely with john clifford.
What makes you think it takes minutes to write a word in Dscript?
because that how long it took you at first try?
it took me forever to write chinese characters when i first started earning them.. now i can zip them out in fast cursive.. much like dscript.

Well, actually it is spang on. Lojban is as useless (and uglier) than Descript for getting toilet paper at a drugstore. It all depends on purpose and aesthetic. The writing system is a metaphor for the conlang game.
