[lojban] Military ranks ki'orja'a, ctoja'a, and dekyja'a
Yesterday I read "The Debut of Bimbashi Joyce". I thought "Bimbashi" was
Joyce's first name until I read "the Bimbashi". Then I looked it up and found
out it's from Turkish, and there are also yuzbashis and ombashis. I'm guessing
that the Turkish words are translations of χιλιαρχος, εκατονταρχος, and
whatever the Greeks called decurions. So I thought up ki'orja'a, ctoja'a, and
dekyja'a. What do you think?
I just looked up "general" in vlasisku and found several words of the form N-
moija'a. I think there was a proposal to take Chinese ranks and European ranks
and mash them together to create fu'ivla. What became of those words?
