I looked up "jvinu" and it didn't look like the right word. I'd use "jvinu"
for what I see from an overlook of the Blue Ridge Parkway (I got lost today
and wandered for two hours after a wrong turn trying to get to Asheville) or
for one of the projections in a technical drawing; that is, a projection of a
three-dimensional (or more) object. A period is two-dimensional, so it doesn't
se jvinu. Unless you're a Flatlander.

I think anything that can be seen has a jvinu. 

(I would have said a period was about as zero-dimensional as you can physically get.)
