It's a noun derived from a verb. In English, a prepositional phrase can modify
a verb, noun, or adjective. You can say "I travel the Tube", but "A traveller
the Tube is crazy" is ungrammatical.

Lojban isn't an Indo-European language. When learning Hebrew, one encounters
alien terminology, such as "lamed he verb" and "hishtaph`el", which describe
features peculiar to Semitic languages. Some common verbs, such as "`asah" (to
make), are lamed he verbs, so you can't avoid them.
