It's a noun derived from a verb.

So what ...? This is exactly like Lojban works {litru} => {lo litru}. Exclusions are pronouns (KOhA) which are not derived from verbs.

In English, a prepositional phrase can modify
a verb, noun, or adjective. You can say "I travel the Tube", but "A traveller
the Tube is crazy" is ungrammatical.

Of course. One of the meaning of English "of" is like of Lojbanic {be}.

Lojban isn't an Indo-European language.

I'm not saying it. The purpose of the course is to present it in an understandable style, not to turn it into an Indo-European language.

When learning Hebrew, one encounters
alien terminology, such as "lamed he verb" and "hishtaph`el", which describe
features peculiar to Semitic languages. Some common verbs, such as "`asah" (to
make), are lamed he verbs, so you can't avoid them.

The concept presented in this course is not suitable for Semitic languages. E.g. I'm not mentioning iḍāfa although for Arabic speakers one might consider using this term.
