I also think it is unclear. Both {lo cabdei} and {lo du'u...} are in a sense completed "at the same time". In which sense do you think it is clear? I don't find any examples like to this one.
The wave lessons seem to suggest that it should be {lo cabdei}, but this information is hidden inside an exercise:

With the comment: ri is not correct, because it refers to la .lojban.

You could use the lerfu anaphora, so cy for {lo cabdei}, and assuming you're in the next sentence you could go for {lo se go'i} for the du'u-abstraction. Maybe you could even use dy. And of course, if you're desperate, use goi, *grin*.
