Wouldn't the literal translation be "nu darxi be _fi_ lo jecta"? "Coup de X" is normally a stroke done by means of X, not against X, isn't it? A coup d'état is an overthrow of the government, and the faction performing it usually claims it is doing it for the state, not against it. 
 
and one can fill all the places with "the rebel group hit the
state with guns in the president". Many languages use a literal translation of
"hit the state". But others say "overturn the state" or borrow the German
"Putsch".
