There is an English construction that derives from a science-fiction

I knew it as "on the third hand":  http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=third%20hand

Would anyone here take it amiss if I used zu'ucu'i in my own SF novel
to imitate this construction?

"zu'u cu'i" sounds to me more like compromise, or a synthesis to zu'u and zu'u nai thesis and antithesis.

You could also try "zu'u xi pa", "zu'u xi re", "zu'u xi ci"...

But feel free to experiment.
