[lojban] Can't understand the humour within CLL Chapter 16's picture

Hi everyone,

As a non-native English speaker, I can't get the humour in the picture of Chapter 16 of CLL, as well as its caption ... Why there're dogs? Why mention 'example'?  And how is this related to the title of this chapter?
