Bogus, but if that's what we've got, then that's what we've got.
I definitely prefer gray to blue.

Is this still the text of the First Edition, or with the errors on the
errata page corrected?  (I assume it can't possibly be the Second Edition
(dotside, xorlo, etc.) yet.)

In the branch Robin is talking about only minor things have been fixed.

Dotside, xorlo and other new things are being fixed but not in what Robin is talking about.
The new edition is being done here: https://github.com/lojban/cll/tree/docbook-prince-cll-2.0
When a certain level is fixed it will be forked into CLL 1.5 branch which will get only stability fixes while branch 2.0 will continue its development.

license inside the book to CC-BY, or whatever we are using.

I'm in favor of that, given the lack of writing on the front cover.
If we could make the jacket at least partly red, so much the better,
so that the name "Red Book" wouldn't seem completely irrational.

Otherwise LGTM.
