While I'm not sure how to express this word in particular after translating two IT-related projects to Lojban
I can say that translating individual words in them is in may cases futile.
The true meaning of words is usually discovered in relations between them after you grasped the whole project.
So after initial preliminary translations I checked the translations again to find that many words had been translated by me incorrectly.
So all in all I had to perform several iterations before the translation got more or less non-self-contradictory.
So for this and other questions I can only recommend first creating short dictionaries with English words and their English definitions.
For texts in other languages you may replace or add columns in those languages.
Then the result would be more useful.
