I was hoping for a discussion of possible words. There were times in the
development of Hungarian and Hebrew when people invented lots of new words to
make them useful as modern languages. Lojban needs a similar kind of word
invention, which requires lots of discussion.
Sometimes one comes up with a word, and it's obviously the right word. For
instance I coined "bicrbombu" for "bumblebee", for the song "I'm bringing home
a baby bumblebee", and found that someone else had already entered it. Other
words need discussion between people in different fields so that they don't step
on each other's toes. "malpigi", for instance, could mean either "x1 is an
acerola of species x2" or "x1 is an excretory organ of insect x2", but the
rules of Lojban specify that it cannot mean both. So the entomologists and the
botanists must communicate to make sure that they don't define the same word
with conflicting meanings.

"garbage" can mean erroneous data, as in "Garbage in, garbage out". It can
mean more specifically data of one kind interpreted as another kind, such as an
eight-letter word interpreted as a double, or an angle (encoded as an integer)
interpreted as an elevation (also encoded as an integer). An unrelated meaning
is "temporary locations no longer used, but still allocated until reclaimed by
the garbage collector", as in Lisp. This is a kind of festi.
