Up to this point, no submissions for the next pemkarni have been sent in. Thus, I conclude that pemkarni is no longer a thing, thus
1) I'm no longer doing pemkarni. It was supposed to be a project for everyone to enjoy and for as many as it's possible to take part in. The first thing I noticed is that all but one of the submitters are newbies. Also, most of them come from Reddit. The inevitable conclusion is that I've failed to interest you even though I've bothered you with 4 emails. I wanted pemkarni to have the premise of engaging the whole community (the 'big' community, a.k.a. the ones that have anything to do with Lojban) in making a smal gift to themselves (in form of any poem/prose) every week... but no. Even though I've thrown a thousand 'please's around and begged you on my knees, you didn't bother to try. So, I've failed. If anyone wants to continue pemkarni, go ahead (you can even reuse that name), but I won't do anything of that type anymore for a longer period of time.
Speaking of the not bothered, I expected that if one gets an email just before his eyes, he would at least check if it's interesting. That didn't seem to happen, so
2) I'm leaving the mriste, a.k.a. mroste. I don't want to participate in a 20-year-old mailing liste that has already served its purpose, but now is a place of hypothetical discussions and total lack of interest. The 'big fishes' that've been here from the beginning is now among the least interested. Even some discussions get completely ignored or put down.
I thought that my contribution and engagement in mroste would help, but it didn't. (Or maybe I had the illusion it helped, while I just spammed your mailboxes.) Many Lojbanic groups that have been spontaneously created are more active, even if they have only a few members to begin with.
That all doesn't mean I'll stop being a Lojbanist or something. The opposite will happen. I'm probably going to collect Lojbanists from more active places (probably Reddit) and create a literary group of works. Works and translations by the eager to be Lojbanic for the eager to be Lojbanic.
So, that's it. No need to reply to this, because I won't have been here anymore.
