I've changed the way this is handled; only <valsi> actually causes
automatic indexterm links.  Whether you choose to wrap something in
<valsi>, leave in an explicit indexterm, or drop both because that
particular use of "coi" isn't important, is basically a style
decision; I'm not terribly worried about it.
