I think dates and coordinates shouldn't be mere strings of characters, since the numbers within them have meaning as numbers. The parser should be able to identify those numbers as numbers. Guskant's system makes more sense for those.
  • As for numeral/number distinction... the problem is that that very distinction is often hazy. Take for example the name of the game TIS-100; do those numbers actually mean "one hundred", or are they just an arbitrary string of numerals?
Is it pronounced "one hundred" or "one zero zero"? It could mean "eight" even, given the topic. What about the name "7-Eleven"? I think names are a different topic, though.
