I'm a bit put off by the commentary on the translations of the examples:

(Literally "I'm atypically sure.", but this doesn't seem to convey the same meaning in English.)
(Former translation:"Truthfully, I'm occasionally paying attention.")
(This one was difficult to translate directly, so this is extremely glossed.)

Couldn't we do without it? I suggest "I'm rarely sure" for the first one, and "I pay attention really sporadically" for the second one. "Sporadically" could be added as a gloss.
