That sounds like a vocative for blame? In this case Kevin seems to be made responsible for "mi jai lerci". In the previous example they were accused of trying to prevent something (good) from happening, rather than making something (bad) happen. 

So attached to something good, "ki'e nai" would mean "you tried to prevent it but it happened anyway, ha ha", whereas attached to something bad it would mean "it's all your fault"?
