I agree.

"Oyster" is a paraphyletic term specific to English for anything that
(a) is a true oyster (family Ostreidae) (b) looks like a true oyster
(c) is eaten raw like a true oyster (d) can have worthwhile pearls
harvested from it, unlike a true oyster (but excluding mussels).

So I'd go with (curnr)xoisteri or the like.
