A gugde has no superior entity; it is fully sovereign and autocephalous.
A jecta may be subordinate to another jecta (which may or may not be
a gugde).  England, Wales, England and Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland,
and the U.K. are all jecta, but only the last is a gugde.
