I wonder why the vlaste gives the gloss "similarly" for {pa'a}, while
on the gismu level "similar" is {simsa} and {panra} (from which {pa'a}
comes) is "parallel".

  I agree with you.  The gloss should be "parallelling..."  I was just glossing it the way I thought you meant it.
 
By {ko'a sepa'anai xajmi prenu} I wanted to mean
"she, not being parallel (to something unspecified), is a funny
person", as a shortened version of {ko'a xajmi prenu i la'e di'u na
panra tu'a lo'i drata}. Alternatively, {ko'a sepa'a noda xajmi prenu}.

Mightn't that imply that "her brand of humor can only be apprecieated
by herself (therefore nobody else considers her as a funny person"?
  It might imply it, but it doesn't say that (as it would if  I put po'o after the second ko'a).  It only says she considers herself funny.

What do you think of simply "ko'a frica xajmi prenu"?
