My suggestion is zo vlipyxlura (vlixlu), and this is what I would  
suggest for a seljvo:

x1=v1 influences the power dynamics of situation x2=v3 towards end  
x3=v2 through means of influence x4

The English "play politics" seems to have a rather negative  
connotation, so it might translate better as malvlixlu. :)
