Sorry, that was an oversight. "ku'i" is in the UI family, meaning,
grammatically, it affects nothing. It can be freely inserted
anywhere. On a semantic level, it means "however", and scopes over
the word it follows. Since it follows the ".i" its effect is the
the whole sentence.
