Better suited for "already" is "ba'o" than "pu".

Yoda's message sounds more axiomatic than authoritative. He isn't so
much commanding you to abstain from making an attempt as telling you
that the idea of attempting is logically moot. So, maybe:

 do ba'o cuxna .i ka'enai troci

That allows the possibility of you making an attempt, which Yoda does
not think exist. According to him, what you might consider as a mere
attempt will turn out to be the real shot.
