That would mean that every euro other than the one worth 1,34 US dollars must be worth something other than 1.34 US dollars, which is not the case, since every euro is worth the same amount of US dollars.

 

I have seen it used in this sense:

{papicivo lo meryru'u cu ve vecnu lo plise dakli}

"US$1.34 is the cost of a bag of apples."

I think "lo meryru'u be li papicivo" is better. 

 

As in:

{lo plise dakli cu rupnu li papicivo lo meryru'u}

"An apple bag is measured as 1.34 US dollars."

That's how I would use it, but just "lo merko" in x3, or alternatively "lo plise dakli cu meryru'u li pa pi ci vo"..

"rupnu" is a measure word, it works like all the other measure words. For comparing currencies I would use "dunli":

   lo ronru'u be li pa cu dunli lo meryru'u be li pa pi ci vo lo ka vamji

mu'o mi'e xorxes
