I was just the other day remarking privately WRT this whole topic. I was going to summarize the remarks, but it's late and I'm lazy and don't feel like being politic, so I'll just paste:

13:22 < treed> The whole "continuing jufra" thing on the bpfk mailing list is pissing me off.
13:22 < treed> They're making up bullshit solutions to a problem that doesn't exist.
13:22 < treed> But I don't really want to spend the time or energy debating it.
13:24 < treed> It's bullshit.
13:24 < treed> "But, how do you know when someone's continuing someone else's jufra"
13:24 < treed> The only reason you could actually want to do that is to be an asshole.
13:24 < treed> otherwise just fucking use go'i and add sumti as needed
13:25 < treed> And then the implication that every lojban jufra *must* start with an .i or it's invalid.
13:26 < treed> The thing that annoys me most is the feeling that if I don't bother with them, this kind of shit will sneak into the language.
13:26 < treed> This is really just a magnified version of what I've been feeling for a while.
13:27 < treed> And why I dislike dealing with newbs so much these days.
13:27 < treed> And don't pay attention to the mailing lists.
13:27 < treed> It's just an endless parade of the same old shit.
13:27 < treed> I'm past wanting to tinker with the language. I'd like to just be able to use it and not have to worry that some asshat's going to come along and dick with my shit.
13:28 < treed> If it weren't for outstanding broken bullshit, I'd just suggest that we declare the time for tinkering over.
13:29 < treed> And ignore the tinkerers henceforth.
