We did declare the time for tinkering over. Back in 1997 wen CLL came out. It became the current language baseline.

I have been saying the above since then.  xorlo was approved anyway.

Unfortunately, the tinkerers have a different concept of what constitutes "outstanding broken bullshit" than you and I do. Because we haven't gotten the BYFY project done, we can't redeclare the baseline, and the proposals keep coming.

We really have to finish defining the current language. Then decide if anything is broken enough to be worth fixing. Then fix it and be done.

Then the tinkerers can be successfully ignored.
