I don't have the Chinese, but here's my final English version:

An old man mounted a donkey, and they travelled down the road.  A 
disrespectful young man saw them approach.  The young man said, with 
disrespect, "Greetings!  I assume you are the father of a donkey?"  

The older man, with respect but disbelief, replied "In that case, hello,
my son."
