Or -ina/-ino. And, let me correct it, -ettA/-ettO.
For long names, shortening is not such a bad idea, even if natlangs
do it too :)
But is it allowed? If You're speaking about camgus., You're not
necessarily talking about camgusmis. any more.

Well, names are not meant to be interpreted anyway, so that
shouldn't necessarily be a problem. For example the name
"Rita" in Spanish ends in -ita but is not a diminutive.
Aye, but then -dib shan't be interpreted, either.
So I'm not talking about dear Jorge, but rather Jorgedib saying
{la xorxedib.}.
By the way, which syllable should be stressed when -dib is
attached? {xOrxedib.}, or {xorxEdib}??
