I find "xabju" in the word lists. It means
"lives/resides" and seems a reasonable root.
Why do you replace "u" by "bi"??
{xabjbi} is a lujvo (compound word) composed of two rafsi (combining
forms of gismu). {xab} is from {xabju} as you guessed; {jbi} from
{jibni} meaning "x1 is near to x2 ...", suggesting that the meaning of
the whole lujvo is something like "x1 lives near x2 ..." or "x1 is a
neighbour of x2 ..."
In the above, I used "..." to indicate omission of some additional
places. The three-letter rafsi forms of all gismu appear in the gismu
list to the right of the gismu itself.
