An intermediate (not defining any lujvo) version would be

  zirpu ke tunka skari ke'e tsani

"ke...ke'e" are parentheses for tanru:

  (purple (copper color)) sky

whereas the default left-grouped "zirpu tunka skari tsani" is

  ((purple copper) color) sky
