I would do them as {djon}, {djan}, {djein} and {djen}, but "John" has
been traditionally lojbanized as {djan}. (There's also {djin} and {djun}
for "Gene" and "June".)


and "Joan"?  {djon}.  "Jan" and "Jen" are probably the two hardest to differentiate.
