[lojban] tanru
Hello!
In "A Quick Tour of Lojban Grammar, With Diagrams" I found the
following example:
9.10) la tam. [cu] melbi tavla la meris.
Tom beautifully-talks to Mary.
Tom is a beautiful-talker to Mary.
It seems to me that two given translations have different meanings, or
to be more precisely the second sentence is less concrete because it
can mean not only the same as the first sentence means (Tom
beautifully talks and it means that he is beautiful talker).
"beautiful talker" can also mean that he is a talker and he is
beautiful but he is beautiful not as talker, he just have a nice face,
for example. Can this second meaning of the second sentence be a one
of the possible meanings of the original lojban sentence?
