Replying to myself, this is a bigger problem than I thought. Is
{coi.lanam.} == {coi la nam} or {coi lanam}?  Does Loglan have
this sort of construct?

I am not sure what is meant by 'coi' so I cannot answer this. If
it were our Hoi, it would be hoi lanam.

{coi} is "hello". In Lojban, a name may immediately follow it, as
may la + a name.

The equivalent of 'Hello' in Loglan would not be used with la nor would
Goodbye, Please and Thank you if attached to a name, but I think there
is a natural tendency for a short pause after these words
