Re: [lojban] ma'i
la pier cusku di'e
Chapter 10, 8.3:
le verba mo'i ri'u cadzu le bisli ma'i vo'a
The child walks toward her right on the ice.
{ma'i} is in selma'o BAI so grammatically it adds a place to {cadzu}. But
semantically it's modifying {ri'u}. So what does this mean:
le verba cadzu le bisli ma'i vo'a
I have a prior question. {mo'i ri'u} is a tense for the
whole event of "child walks on ice", so how come it is
translated as if it were the child that moves right, and
not the whole "child walks on ice"? Why is it the x1 that
moves right and not for example the x2?
What does {le verba mo'iri'u renro le balci} mean?
co'o mi'e xorxes
