Yes, good point, or even:

      mi klama fu lo me zei .opel.

if you feel that adding "karce" is unnecessary or redundant.

The fact that we already can create the brivla "me zei ...." from any
cmevla is another indicator that cmevla should be brivla, like the
rest of open class words.
