I wanted to be clear that they were the one that would have attacked.

I feared that

{ko bregau lo bagyce'a bilni lo nu [ma'a] gunta}

translated as "prepare the archers for the attack" could have
interpreted as they would have to be prepared to "resist" to the
attack. Hence the {ma'a}.

About the simplification, I agree. I'm going to change it.
