So, 'lo kruji', 'lo sakta' would be responses to the question and provide the 
asked for information but would technically not be answers, as they would be for 
the more or less corresponding question in English? An interesting difference in 
Lojban culture that I have known about for years but never appreciated so fully 
before now.  Thanx.

Correct.  IIRC, this is, in fact, an example in the CLL.
