I meant the metaphysical argle bargle, not emotions, are to be eliminated.  Since my last sentence was, strictly speaking, a question, you can't disagree with it (logically).   Spock is an interesting character, but hardly a person to emulate in ordinary life (though the occasional urge to merge helps a bit).  Sorry if my pronoun was misleading.
