How do you say "happy birthday" bau lojban?

I would say:
a'o do cinmo loka gleki le do jbena nunsalci

do cinmo loka gleki == do se pluka, no?

usually. We do distinguish in the attitudinals between oinai (pleasure) and ui (happiness), with the implication in the opposition that pleasure is a state of having no complaint.

Nora describes happiness as being a more general emotion. One can experience happiness just being out, say, in the wilderness, while feeling displeasure at the mosquitoes eating you alive, suggesting the pleasure is a specific reaction to a stimulus, while happiness is a more general feeling.
