Re: [lojban] Scientific Method

By that logic, a single cup of water from a larger pool isn't water because water is all water.
A single study is still science (or rather, scientific, if we're going to be grammatically correct).

I don't understand why this needs to be more complicated than {sketadji}, the process of science.

A single study, regardless of how many times it's repeated, isn't 'science'. It's just one of the iterations of the implied algorithm of the definition. Science never stops.

I was considering adding the repetition factor, but, then, I thought, plenty of studies are only done once (by a given team), to disprove/add credence to a theory, and never repeated with different variations.

I didn't see your definition (or just didn't understand it). There's nothing in your definition about feedback or repetition of the steps. It doesn't happen just once.

And mine that this whole discussion is irrelevant: we don't need to say what the scientific method is to have a word for it.

My point was that there are better sources available to answer the question than me.

The scientific method is much broader than just analysis or study.
What might a full description or definition of scientific method be in Lojban?

What might a full description be in English?
