Re: [lojban] official status of dotside?



I think it isn't official, but I would hardly agree to tag such things as disputed.

Firstly, the extra dot is valid Official Lojban, so there is really no argument in this particular case. Secondly, marking every deviation from the official language "disputed" will lead to a proliferation of such tags in the Lojban Tatoeba corpus, and that is a terrible promotion of the language. I think it is better to just add a new translation under the convention you prefer, and possibly comment it.

How can we know that dotside is not disputed? Has it ever been given official sttus?
