I'm not sure that that issue is as cut and dried as you're
presenting, but even if it is, that's irrelevant to my point, which
is that if he wants people to pronounce it the way he is, he should
indicate appropriately.  It's not about distinguishing two cmene,
it's about pronouncing one cmene the way its owner wants.
