Who has the skills and desire to upgrade jboselkei to give these
features? Can jsk be rewritten in a language other than PHP? Why must
we assume jsk will be abandoned instead of improved?

If we have very specific things, I might be able to do them. PHP is similar enough to
C++ that I can usually poke it a bit and make it do what I meant.

Why would we want to rewrite jsk? What advantages would the new language have? And, out of curiosity, what database does jsk use? If it's something SQL, then php is probably pretty well suited -- based on the fact that SQL and PHP are used for a
pretty large number of other pages.

But I don't claim to be an expert on any of this; it took me a few days to pull together code to print every record in a book database sorted by author and series in a
readable & usable manner.
