[lojban-beginners] Re: Strange modals



I think the differene between di'o and sedi'o is that {X di'o Y} says that 
X occurs at the place where Y is confined, whereas {X sedi'o Y} says 
that X occurs at, and is confined to, place Y. They differ as to what is 
confined. 

Similarly, {X tu'i Y} says that X occurs permanently at location Y, whereas 
{X setu'i Y} says that X occurs at the place where Y is permanently located. 
They differ as to what is permanently located there. 

But if 
{diklo}: x1 is located in x2 and nowhere else within x3 
then surely 
{se diklo} must be: x1 is the only location of x2 within x3 
and {X di'o Y} must be: X being the only location of Y within... 

But (X is the only location of Y within...) is not the same as (X occurs at the place where Y is confined)...or is it?
