I would like to use {le fetspe be mi} for "my wife", instead of {le mi fetspe} which now is the only option left for me :)

{le mi fetspe} is perfect. (As well as le mi speni.)
The nested form corresponds to the cmavla {pe} (rather than {po})
and indicates that the one who is talking and the one who is the
wife belong to each other, and not that the wife is a propriety of
the speaker.
There is even another possibility for the most fanatic husbands;
{le speni po'e mi} stands for an unalienable wife.
But, in many cases, the shorter the better.
