I *really* like this. I think the simple keyword misses a lot of what 
is good about Lojban, and this approach brings place-structures into 
the fore as well. "cusku" is not really the same as "say", but 
something kinda like "say", and this explains what that 'something' is.

The big advantage there is that instead of saying "an audience of
something said", we can say "an audience (place 3 of: x1 says x2 for
audience x3 via expressive medium x4), which seems far more natural
to me.  Oddly.  :)

audience in this context is "te cusku", correct?  :)
